Loading firmware and calibrations per product. Troubleshooting and debugging testing issues. Assembling units, testing, and packaging products to specifications. Assisting in other areas within the facility where help is needed. Cycle counts and inventory. I followed the product line from East West Manufacturing.
I started out in the work cell as assembler. Just placing component on circuit boards according to building/spec procedures. With in a year, I was building up units to be tested. Training on testing and being in charge of the whole department followed within a few more years. Learning everything from the beginning of a Purchase Order from our customer to creating work orders for assemblies, entering data in our system, kitting, working with Buyer to have materials on hand for builds, building, testing, packing and closing work orders when completed. Sometime entering sales and printing packing slips.
Running six plastic injection molding machines that made battery casing and lids. Measuring thickness of walls, and quality checking for the correct lead polarities on lids. Filling up hoppers of raw materials (plastic pellets) to be heated and molded. Quality checks and housekeeping throughout shift.
I operated medical injection molding machines. One duty was to have microscopic checks every two hours to ensure specifications are being accurate and steady throughout the run of an order. Assembling 3M products and other small medical assemblies for our customers. Eventually I was the lead in a small department for our EZEM mouthpiece assemblies and scheduling runs for product on the floor based on customer order needs.
