• As a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Respiratory Therapist I am a highly specialized clinician who provides advanced, around-the-clock respiratory care to the most critically ill and fragile newborns, including "micro-preemies" born at 22-24 weeks gestation. Operating at the highest level of neonatal care as an RT I am part of the multidisciplinary team that manages severe respiratory failure, complex congenital conditions, and support surgical interventions.

• Advanced Ventilator Management: Operating sophisticated ventilation modes, such as High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV) and High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV).
• Advanced Airway Management: Performing and assisting with intubations, extubations, and tracheostomy care.
• Specialized Gas Therapy: Delivering Nitric Oxide (for pulmonary hypertension)
• High-Risk Delivery Attendance: Responding to high-risk deliveries as part of the resuscitation team.
• Surfactant Administration: Administering surfactant directly into the lungs of premature infants to assist with breathing.
• Monitoring and Assessment: Conducting regular assessments, doing blood gases, interpreting them and looking at chest X-rays to adjust therapy as needed

• Managed and operated mechanical ventilators to deliver airway management.
• Aided physicians with various procedures such as bronchoscopies, ventilator management, and intubations.
• Evaluated patient response to respiratory treatments and revised care plans accordingly.
• Worked with patients to administer aerosolized respiratory medications and chest percussion treatments to improve breathing.
