To provide healthcare services within the education setting, ensuring students well-being and promoting health through preventative care. duties and responsibilities include

• Providing direct student care for minor injuries and acute illnesses, as well as monitoring students with severe chronic conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes and seizure disorders
• Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare provider
• Conduct routine screenings such as vision and hearing.
• Develop individualized health plans (IHP) and Emergency action plans( EAP) for student with special medical needs

To provide specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and treatment in the Progressive Care unit as well as be flexible floating to other units throughout the hospital needing additional support.

• Patient assessment and monitoring, being able to recolonize signs of deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administering medications and IV therapy including titrating IV drips
• Advocating for patients and their families, providing emotional support and ensuring understanding of their conditions and treatment options available for them
• Following infection control guidelines and isolation protocols
