Daisy Award

Receiving the Daisy Award at Atrium Health was a truly humbling experience. I was nominated by a grateful family for the exceptional care I provided their family member. This award is unique because it is one of the highest honors a CNA can receive, and it is given to only a few recipients each year.

To me, quality care means treating every single person with the same respect, compassion, and dignity—regardless of who they are. My experience spans various fields, from caring for special needs children to supporting geriatric, oncology, and hospice patients. It is essential to remember that every patient is someone's loved one, and that one day, any one of us could be in their shoes. This award, which came as a complete surprise, reinforces my commitment to that belief.
