Precepted Clinical:
Clinical Rotations:
During my clinical rotations through Chamberlain, I gained hands-on experience in providing patient-centered care across diverse healthcare settings, including medical-surgical, pediatrics, special care nursery, L&D/postpartum, emergency department, mental health units, and intensive care. I developed strong organizational skills by managing patient assignments with my nurses and preceptors, administering medications, and completing focused and head-to-toe assessments on adults and newborns. I effectively utilized electronic health record systems to document patient data, administer medications, and find any relevant data on our patients.
During my most recent precepted clinical at Advocate Condell in Libertyville, I was tasked in the mother-baby unit as well as the special care nursery, receiving my own patients and assisting my nurse with her patient care. During my rotation, I gained hands-on experience with newborns who required critical care in the special care nursery setting as well as mother's postpartum requiring frequent monitoring and wound care. These experiences have equipped me with the competency and compassion that is essential for the transition into nursing practice. I look forward to furthering my learning and education in the nursing field as a new graduate.
