Supervise security/control activities and staff in an assigned area, which provides for maximum facility coordination in prisoner supervision and safety, in addition to the preparation of required records and reports.

Under direction, supervises the activities of staff in a correctional facility; insures prisoner/inmate safety and security; coordinates inmate programs; assists a Lieutenant in managing staff, inmates and performs other work as required. Responds and assists during emergency situations.
