I have wanted to be a counselor ever since middle school and have a desire to help people, working with the population of adolescents and young adults. These skills along with the passion for counseling, work ethic and time-management abilities make me an ideal candidate for mental health job opportunities. I have experienced being a mental health worker for 3 years getting experience in a psychiatric hospital setting. In 2021, I was taken on as an independent contractor under the supervision of an LPC at a private practice, where I do individual therapy work with teens and young adults struggling with a variety of mental health issues. I am known as empathetic for connecting with clients, maintaining comfort and promoting progress during sessions. I easily collect information about patients through conversations, questions and in-depth interviews. Additionally, my emotional support golden retriever has an enormous impact on helping clients open up. I have excellent observational and analytical skills with great insight into patients' mental state. I am an empathetic professional with hands-on experience providing quality psychological services to teens and young adults.
