I have wanted to be a counselor ever since middle school and have a desire to help people, working with the population of adolescents and young adults. These skills along with the passion for counseling, work ethic and time-management abilities make me an ideal candidate for mental health job opportunities. I have experienced being a mental health worker for 3 years getting experience in a psychiatric hospital setting. In 2021, I was taken on as an independent contractor under the supervision of an LPC at a private practice, where I do individual therapy work with teens and young adults struggling with a variety of mental health issues. I am known as empathetic for connecting with clients, maintaining comfort and promoting progress during sessions. I easily collect information about patients through conversations, questions and in-depth interviews. Additionally, my emotional support golden retriever has an enormous impact on helping clients open up. I have excellent observational and analytical skills with great insight into patients' mental state. I am an empathetic professional with hands-on experience providing quality psychological services to teens and young adults. Skilled in identifying, assessing and diagnosing mental health and emotional issues with the assistance of my supervisor, Further treatment plans are implemented and provides counseling and therapy to obtain maximum results for patients. Successful at helping clients unravel mental and emotional layers to identify root causes of problems and develop strong coping skills for diverse scenarios. Extremely enthusiastic about mental illness, and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
