Volunteer Work

First Family Church

*Lead donations volunteer for Whole Foods donations.

I inquired about and began the donation and distribution of a local Whole Foods donation to our church’s food bank. I would arrive at a designated time arranged by the manager to pick up and drop off a large food donation every week. It would then be sorted and distributed to our church’s food bank in Antioch, Ca. To my knowledge the services are still being used to this day. I facilitated the relationship needed for long term food donation.

DETACUDE

*Fundraiser

I created a shirt company to raise awareness of undereducated adults in urban areas. The company was named detacude which is educated backwards to symbolize the backward educational system hindering some socioeconomic classes from advancing in their education and current situations. The money was to go toward educational programs or need to those struggling to advance or escape current employment and living situations. The goal was to provide education to parents to instill generational success and higher levels of education and job outlook. To provide hope in an otherwise hopeless situation.

Learning to Hope in Haiti

*Volunteer

This was a mission trip to Haiti to help orphans in a structured facility receive love and essential materials needed to flourish. We also worked with the local town of Mango to supply and open a public school for the town. This was an effort to secure the idea that every child could attend school without a fee. It is customary for only one child to attend school per year due to cost. We met, played, and mentored local youth while also working on the school.  Delivered materials and supplies.

PepsiCo Donation Delivery

*Volunteer

Often the warehouse would have a surplus of Pepsi products that were nearing their expiration date. The company would experience a huge loss if the pallets of soda went to waste. Because of my experience with food banks, I volunteered to use my private vehicle to disperse the goods if they would allow me to seek out non-profits for donation. Pepsi could use it as a tax write off, and I was able to do something I’m passionate about, and that’s giving back. Pepsi was then able to help build a relationship with the Women’s Shelter, and Gardnerville food bank. I hope this introduction will last for many years of giving in the future.
