I drive equipment; I am certified to drive the forklift and skid steer. I was in charge of other laborers when we hired temporary help. I have done snow removal with a skid steer, a shovel, and deiced. I have also done mowing, weed eating, punched and dimpled frames, installed doors and frames, roofing, hung sheetrock, placed emseal, caulked, installed hatches and railings on the roof, loaded and unloaded materials with a forklift, escorted semis on the base, placed barriers, and filled them with glycol. I put up temporary doors, kept temporary heat in the building, hauled loads of water with the forklift, placed cement barriers, did SWPP stuff, dug trenches by hand, removed trash from the building, removed water from the foundation of the building, put up and removed the fence when needed, and managed F.O.D. pickup, and swept by hand, with the sweeper machine, and with the skid steer and attachment. I was also part of the craft safety leadership program.
I went in early in the morning and did prep work until we opened. The prep work I would do includes pulling the bread out of the freezer, starting the baking process, slicing the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, and then cooking the bacon. After that, I would clean up and stock the line. After we opened, I would work on the line; I could do everything from slicing the meat, topping the sandwiches, cashiering, or working the back line by myself. During slow periods, I would go out, wipe down tables, and restock napkins, condiments, and take out the trash.
I clean everything in the mill, assembly, loading, and in the warehouses. I cleaned the breakrooms, offices, bathrooms, and parking lots. I would sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, salt the sidewalk, mow, weed eat, did snow removal and got on machines when needed.
