I am open to new challenges, a quick learner, and enjoy finding the best and most efficient solution for the customer and/or employer. I am flexible and available for relocation as I have spent 10 years in international assignments and 4 years as a dependent in Venezuela in an oilfield family. In this position, I am responsible for all yard functions for a fluids company providing drilling fluid for the customer. Clients will ask for certain compound & chemicals makeup for the drilling fluid, it is our responsibility to build that mud to spec for the client. I.e. building to certain viscosities, ph’s, weight, loss circulation materials, and correct oil to water ratios. On top of building mud, we also produce emulsifiers, frac fluid, and friction reducers.
As a business owner I am responsible for all daily operations including equipment repairs as needed (engine, plumbing, hoses, tanks, batteries, cables, trailer, and miscellaneous equipment), preventative maintenance on the engines, plumbing, hoses, tanks, batteries, cables, trailer, and miscellaneous equipment.
Also, as a business owner I am responsible for creating and distributing ads and marketing materials including flyers, signage, digital marketing, mailers etc., social media management, setting up advertisements on Google Ads and Facebook Ads, creating estimates, sending invoices, and accepting payments through our project management system, scheduling estimates and appointments, and business networking.
I was hired on with the manufacturing facility to build hydraulic hoses and clean up the department. I quickly took over and renewed the department that was far behind on orders and very disorganized. I was responsible for fulfilling orders, doing paperwork, packaging, computer diagnostics and printing labels, as well as shipping the orders out. As well as building anything we needed in-house for our equipment. That included catwalks, automated wrenches, top drives, etc. I was given a raise and told I was a great employee; I implemented a system of efficiency, cutting back on errors such as over/under ordering supplies and parts and shipping incorrect orders out.
With Nabors Arabia in Saudi Arabia I worked as a drillers assistant to help with the everyday operations and keep everything on the rig flowing smoothly. I managed crew members on daily tasks and responsibilities. I also made sure current and future operations lined up with the proper tools for the job to avoid down time. I was also responsible for keeping inventory on tools, pipes, and any other down-hole tools used. I made sure mud and solids control equipment was always monitored and helped the derrick-hand with any assistance needed on the mud tanks. I kept the rig in tip top shape while operating or during rig move and foresaw any maintenance issues before they occurred.
I have been trained by this major oil service company to field operate and maintain their complete line of solids control equipment. My training included in-house construction and repair of their equipment in the main manufacturing facility in Conroe, Texas. I also was trained to perform field service installations and maintenance of Brandt equipment in the Texas area.
In the Army I specialized in communications where I was trained as a radio technician and operator on high tech radios. My job was to provide constant communication to all field sites. I also learned to take control of strenuous situations, work as a team, watch over fellow soldiers and make sure things got done the right way.
