Accomplishments

CuSTOM Biobank ordering webpage (Kickoff: November 2024, Launch: May 2025, Quality Control: ongoing quarterly)

  • Led the development of internally facing website allowing Cincinnati Children's Hospital researchers to order patient derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines for academic research and provide feedback for cell line performance to ensure quality control.
  • With the assistance of key stakeholders, IT professionals, and department leaders we were able to use an existing data capture platform (REDCap) to create a landing page, an ordering system with "cart" review and payment information, and automated notifications to allow the seamless work flow of ordering to order fulfillment.

CLEAR Consortium Webpage (Kickoff: 2018, Launch: 2019, Redesign & Relaunch: August 2021-October 2021)

  • Assisted with principle investigator & patient facing website regarding long-term observational study investigating genetic indications of babies born with congenital tracheal & esophageal defects.
  • In 2021 redesign I led an effort with Cincinnati Children's Hospital's Information Specialists department to allow greater accessability for potential & existing study participants within the framework allowed including a participant specific outlook email to maximize engagement and response time to inquiries.

Patient Biobank Creation & Maintenance (Project Start: February 2020)

  • I operate and monitor an extensive collection of biological samples (>700 patients worth of samples) including the storage location of said samples along with arranging any shipping needs of samples, and the progress tracking of where certain patient samples are in the workflow of quality control/sample processing.
  • I assisted in designing a Microsoft Access database from which one can download an excel document stating what patient samples are in what stage of the process, when they entered/exited that point in the process, and who changed that record. This allows quick and effective communication of progress with stakeholders and PIs at a moment's notice if needed.
