Summary

A Special Education Teacher with extensive experience teaching children with individualized and diverse special needs. I am a highly motivated, organized, and hardworking teacher with extensive special education knowledge and experience. I specialize in creating innovative, meaningful, and accessible lesson plans as well as a comfortable learning environment. In order for children with special needs to succeed in an academic setting, I provide a structured and supportive classroom environment and emotional support. Throughout my career, I have maintained excellent communication skills when working with teachers, parents, and specialists to meet the needs of all students. As an effective teacher, I use constant communication, patience, and positive reinforcement to foster academic achievement in both general education and special education classrooms. Writing legally defensible IEPs and conducting both formal and informal assessments is something that I have extensive experience in. Writing formal multidisciplinary reports is also one of my areas of expertise, in addition to developing IEPs and administering assessments. As a fully licensed and certified teacher in California with additional authorizations in assessment, autism, and English as a Second Language, I am highly qualified in my field. My objective is to obtain a full-time position where I will be able to utilize my skills and contribute effectively and positively to the team.
