Summary

All children are individuals and should be taught in a manner that addresses their individual learning needs and ablilities. Curriculum should be presented in multiple ways to engage students into becoming motivated learners. As an educator its important not only to teach the knowledge, but also the qualities of success and provide engaging, performance based-lessons and projects so students can apply their skills and increase their own understanding of what he/she have learned. The learning environment should prompt creativity and explorations that facilitates the growth potential of each student. Theses experiences develop academic, intellectual, and social skills necessary for student growth and development. As an educator goal is to help all children realize the power of learning beyond the classroom.
