Critically assess patients in the admitting, intraop, and recovery phases for the following : GI procedures, IR cases, CT guided procedures, and cath lab patients. Perform skills such as placing peripheral IVs, administering conscious sedation, IV infusions, injections, and interdisciplinary team communication.

Manage critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation, titration of vasopressors, insulin, sedation medications, paralytics and electrolytes. Constant communication with various members of interdisciplinary team to ensure and advocate for patient. Effectively communicate with patient and their family to ensure understanding of condition and plan of care.

Closely monitor telemetry patients requiring a higher level of care than the medical surgical floor. Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms and assessing changes and need for intervention. Communicating with physician with changes indicating need for a change in their plan of care. Cross trained in ICU and would float to aid in staffing issues.
