  • I am currently employed at Rite Aid as a Regional Pharmacy Technician Specialist. I work directly under the Regional Pharmacy Leader. I currently have 28 Stores in my region that I travel between. Along with the regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician, my focuses are on interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new Pharmacy Technicians as well as retaining technicians that have been employed with the company. Ensuring the newly hired technicians complete their certification course, as well as the required education for the position. And making sure they stay on track with the company's objectives. I deliver supplies, vaccines and drugs to my stores when needed. Along with prepping and attending inventories for each of my stores, I also make sure they are following protocol according to the State Laws. Focusing on adherence to protocols regarding medications, immunizations, and daily goals for each store. Attending and arranging flu/immunization clinics with the Pharmacists to ensure correct information is gathered, and then input that information into the computer upon returning to that store. Training not only new technicians, as well as new Pharmacists on how to navigate our computer system effectively to get through a standard day. I serve as a Liaison between the store pharmacists and the Regional Pharmacy Leader. I am a resource of information for technicians and pharmacists. I also do schedules for a few floating technicians and help to provide overlap with pharmacists when I am able.

  • In 2012, I started at Store 3972 in Sharon, pa as a Shift Manager. My store then became 10996 Sharpsville, pa, staying a shift manager. Which included, opening, and/or closing a store. Money handling, scheduling, making, and receiving orders, unloading trucks, and placing the items on the shelves. I was also responsible for handling the lottery. Made bank runs to ensure the safe stayed where it should be with money. Making decisions based on store requirements and helping the pharmacy when needed. I finally moved to store 10995 Hermitage in 2014. In 2015, I became the Wellness Ambassador. Which included helping the Pharmacy with outreach for vaccine clinics, making relationships with other local companies to help with business. I greeted customers as they walked into the store, offering my assistance if it was needed. Then finally, I gained my position as a Pharmacy Technician in 2016. I organized medications for the pharmacists to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and cashing out the customers to assure a fast and friendly service with care. I helped prep and complete inventories for my store. Also ordering and receiving my truck order and putting it away in the proper spots.
