I am currently completing my Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and will graduate in October. My long-term goal is to pursue a master’s in applied Behavior Analysis, further supporting my passion for working with children and contributing to their development in meaningful ways. What draws me to substitute teaching is the opportunity to create consistency and care in the classroom, even in a teacher’s absence. I have been able to show proof of 90 credit hours towards my bachelor’s degree in which I was able to qualify to become a substitute teacher. I believe I can be a great asset to an ABA company as I am a mother of three and two with autism, for I live in a world of ABA and want to learn more. Having children on the spectrum is hard and families often don’t have the village they need to thrive, and I want to be a part of starting their village. I know for me ever since my children started going to ABA, I felt the clinic has been my village and taught me many things I needed to know to turn this into a career path in which this can not only benefit me and my family but also can benefit my future clients.
