  • Serve as interim administrative lead for Valley Regional Imaging, an IDTF joint venture between Cape Fear Valley and Valley Regional, providing operational and financial oversight of clinic. Responsible for setting clinical service goals, optimizing scheduling and revenue cycle processes, and standardizing expectations to foster enhanced patient perception of services and meeting regularly with physician stakeholders to track progress of expectations of clinic. Identified over $500K in annual expense reduction and reduced pending imaging appointments from over 7000 to 3000 in the first month by clearly identifying expectations and retraining staff on processes.   • Worked to streamline medication reconciliation process. Process improvements included the addition of a formalized training program for medication reconciliation technicians, enhancements to workflow including documentation in Epic and standardization of expectations of process, as well as implementation of Dr. First to enhance import from external pharmacies. Received approval for Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Manager to oversee project and promotion of 6 technicians to pharmacy specialists. Baseline completion of medication reconciliation within 24 hours was 68%; currently at 97%.
  • Implementation of a prior authorization department within the pharmacy to handle prior authorization requests from insurance companies for our Cape Fear Valley clinics. Program currently encompasses 25 clinics with average turn around time under 24 hours.
