I am an independent producer passionate about creating accessible spaces in the filmmaking industry. My personal experiences with disability and chronic pain have deeply informed my understanding of the importance of advocating for disabled artists. In addition to producing, I work full-time at NYU’s Film and TV department as the Production Office Manager, where I support students through all aspects of pre-production
I serve as a pre-production resource hub for over 1,500 students, helping to resolve union, casting, permitting, and insurance-related issues. I manage the procurement and distribution of production media to hundreds of students and dozens of faculty members. Additionally, I am responsible for promoting student production information through bulk emails, class talks, website updates, and social media. I also supervise a team of 10 student workers who support administrative tasks and create social media content.
I produce micro-budget independent films by securing funding through grants and crowdfunding, outlining budgets, obtaining permits, hiring crew, coordinating schedules and transportation, and securing rights and clearances. I ensure all productions follow safety protocols and handle the filing of necessary paperwork once production wraps.
I led technical training for students on the proper use of camera and audio equipment and performed quality control checks on the equipment
I assisted the national, local, foreign, and sports departments by providing friendly customer service, troubleshooting printer issues, and handling basic office duties as needed. Additionally, I produced lottery and weather components, as well as a single-page edition for a Japanese newspaper
