Duties as a Payroll Officer
- Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets
- Expertly manage monthly payroll processing, ensuring precise calculation and data entry using advanced payroll systems.
- Execute payroll disbursements, including mobilization, leave encashment, settlements, and adjustments for allowances or deductions.
- Vigilantly maintain payroll data integrity, enforcing strict adherence to HR policies with documented approval for any amendments.
- Conduct meticulous monthly payroll audits, performing comprehensive reconciliation to guarantee accuracy between reporting periods.
- Diligently uphold manual and electronic record accuracy, consistently updating in compliance with data protection standards.
- Prepare detailed monthly payroll reconciliations and generate insightful payroll reports.
- Provide prompt and efficient resolution to employee payroll inquiries, maintaining high levels of service.
- Adhere to directives from the Finance Manager, ensuring seamless payroll operations.
- Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees.
- Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality in all payroll-related matters.

- Offering counseling services to employees.
- Participating in recruitment and firing processes.
