I am a passionate mental health clinician who has 4 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents. I am dependable and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in clinical work. I enjoy collaborating with other clinicians to offer the best of care to clients. I hope to provide a positive impact on the youth in regards to mental health.
Provided alcohol and drug counseling to adolescent males in Autauga, Alabama, addressing individual needs and fostering recovery. I attend Treatment Team Meetings weekly where all clinical staff meet to review the overall progress of that client and collaborate on ways to ensure the client’s clinical needs are met. I facilitate group therapy on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays where clients’ explore the many factors that contributed to their addiction and utilize case management skills to connect clients with resources addressing needs beyond substance use treatment. The psychological modalities used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, SMART Recovery, Interactive Journaling, and Stages of Change.
I worked as a psychological technician at Behavioral Medicine providing services for children and adolescents. I have administered psychological assessments such as the WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, WRAT, and GARS-3. I provided psychotherapy for children and adolescents under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. I worked with the children's family in providing resources in the home and school setting. Additionally, I conducted disability evaluations for children and adults.
Due to COVID-19, I was only able to assist Dr. Ray grading assignments in Research Methods course for undergraduate psychology students virtually.
