Deliver safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, procedure, and best practices in the SICU.

Participate in comprehensive nurse residency program, including clinical orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing skill development.

Collaborate with surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other team members to assess plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Monitor and interpret complex clinical date including vital signs, hemodynamics and lab results.

Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitor residents conditions and report changes to the RN or physician

Accurately document patient care, medication administration, and changes in condition.

Maintain updated and detailed reports in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.

Participate in resident care planning and contribute observations and input.

Perform basic wound care and monitor for signs of infection or complications.

Administering medications, supervising CNAs, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, and managing emergencies. They also maintain accurate records, communicate changes in resident status, and participate in care planning. Over see staff on this unit to provide patient centered care. Provide treatment care, and perform critical care thinking in emergent situations.

Provide routine and emergency nursing care to inmates under the supervision of an RN and physician.

Conduct health assessments including vital signs, and symptom evaluation. Medication administration. Triage and sick calls. Perform wound care.
