We have CPI training to teach all employees how to safely defuse violent, hostile, or anxious situations. This is to help the employees identify dangerous situations to staff as well as other patients. This helps us recognize situations that are or could be violent. It teaches the employees how to use de-escalation techniques to diffuse situations nonverbally without causing harm or injury. This training allows us to learn safe physical intervention strategies to keep patients and staff safe.
