Current Responsibilities

Handling all finances for O’Neill, Boulevardia, Kansas City Local Organizing Committee, Camp Leavenworth, and Kansas City Irish Fest; handling Human Resources tasks such as reporting payroll, employee onboarding, hiring and benefits enrollment. Handling 5 separate QuickBooks accounts for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, budgeting for the business and all events, compiling monthly reports for the owner, boards, and clients, grant writing for nonprofits, reconciling all bank accounts, company credit card accounts, and investment accounts, record retention, handling all AP and AR functions for all five companies, contract review, general assistant to owner and colleagues, assisting with event management and staffing when needed.

Leadership Experience

Kansas City Lesbians, Board Treasurer, Serve as the Board Treasurer for an organization of over 5,900 members in Kansas City named “Kansas City Lesbians”. Work with the Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans communities in KC to foster an inclusive community and make Kansas City a more LGBTQIA+ friendly place to live. Host multiple group events monthly, including an inclusive adult prom, and inclusive gatherings at sporting events and family-friendly events around town. Assist with the KC Pride Community Alliance in hosting events and work with Free Hot Soup KC to help homeless and underprivileged humans in the Kansas City area.

Career Development

Head of the Career Development Team at MSTS, which met monthly to arrange “Lunch and Learn” sessions and mentorships between departments. Developed the first annual MSTS Internal Career Fair to help highlight the different departments and encourage internal transfers for employees wanting to shift gears. This led to a positive impact on lowering turnover companywide. Helped both MSTS and O’Neill transition from paper-dependent finance teams to being almost completely paperless, improving payment approvals and financial management. Trained new employees and cross-trained employees from other departments to streamline processes between the AP, AR, and Cash Management Team, creating unity between the multiple finance departments.
