I am a third year Environmental Science Student at Niagara University with hopes of working with the Niagara County Public/Environmental Health Department(s). I am interested in becoming a public health technician or similar. Throughout my academic career, I have had a particular interest in environmental health the relationship between anthropomorphic activities and their effects on the environment, people, and animals. I am fascinated by the interactions between substances in the environment and extent of their repercussions. I am passionate about food & workplace safety as I have much experience in kitchen environments. I have begun to TA for Microbiology Lab this 2025 spring and I am so pleased to be able to help and connect with student who enjoy microbiology as much as I do.
- Able to answer questions, help students work through problems, remind them of duties and instructions, and double-check work or observations.
- Helped with administering assessments for lab techniques and providing constructive feedback to students based on results.
- Supported laboratory maintenance and upkeep, assuring lab safety protocols were being performed as well as aseptic technique
- In September 2024, I volunteered at Aspire of Western New York's Art and Wine Event to raise money to fund art-based activities for developmentally disabled children and adults. I operated a spinning wheel where attendees could win prizes.
- In March 2025, I volunteered forAspire of Western New York as part of Trimaina, an event that raised money for occupants of the multiuse building. I guided people through an exhibit.
-Fill three bay sinks and test the pH of the sanitizing sink
-Wash dishes and allow dry properly on racks before putting dishes in their designated spots
- Kept work area clean and free of debris
-Sweep and mop the work area
-Replace trash bags and dispose of trash and recycled materials
- From October 2023 to December 2023, I volunteered for Food Not Bombs on Elmwood St. in Buffalo NY. I participated in cooking and packaging vegan meals made from scratch with ingredients that would have been discarded. Other volunteers and I would hand out these packaged meals to Buffalo residents.
