Honors And Accomplishments

  • Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame Award is the highest honor a graduating senior from Ventura High School can receive. Students are nominated and a committee made-up of administrators, counselors and teachers select the recipients.
  • Gold Award - Hydration Heroes: Recognizing dehydration as a serious issue in senior populations, I utilized my Gold Award project to develop a solution. I created a lecture series called “Hydration Heroes,” consisting of five weekly presentations on the importance of hydration and the effects of dehydration on the body and brain. The sessions were well-received, and I reinforced actions to improve daily hydration. With over 80 hours of service, my program included accessible water stations, hydration tracking sheets, and a video for incoming residents and families.
  • Aegis Living Shining Star - Most Impactful Volunteer: Minimum of 30 + volunteer hours. Residents of the assisted living community must agree with the nomination and award.
