Affiliations

  • PMEA Experience (2021 - 2024)
    Amelia was a participant in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Festival Circuit. During her time in high school, Amelia competed in 26 different festivals, holding the school record for most festivals ever attended. She is a three-time state champion in Orchestra (2022), Choir (2023), and Band (2024). She is the first student in Grove City school history to qualify for three consecutive years in three separate events.
  • GCASD Music Department (2020 - 2024)
    Amelia was a member of the GCHS Marching band from 2019-2024, where she served as Drum Major and president of the GCHS Marching Band from 2021-2024. She was also the president of the GCHS Concert Band. She was the secretary of the GCHS Chamber Choir for four years, and also served as the president and choreographer for the GCHS Show Choir. Amelia was a featured vocalist with the GCHS Jazz Band from 2023-2024.
  • Due to staffing complications in August 2023, Amelia served as a co-assistant band director for the GCHS Marching Band during the fall of her senior season. In August of 2024, she returned to reprise her leadership position in running sectionals and assisting in teaching drill.
  • GCHS Theater Department (2020-2024)
    Amelia was the president of the GCHS Thespian Society, Troupe 1998, and has experience as an
    assistant to the creative team during youth summer theater camps.
  • Leesburg Presbyterian Church

Amelia grew up doing dinner theater productions at Leesburg Presbyterian Church, volunteering to serve dinner courses and provide hospitality. She also participated as a performer in productions. These events primarily served to fund mission trips, youth summer camps, and VBS.
During high school, Amelia also served as a member of the Leesburg Praise and Worship Team.

Amelia was a dancer with Dance Center Studios from 2010-2023.

  • Expanded Involvement

Amelia was the vice president of the GCHS Aevidum Chapter from 2021-2024, and a member of GCHS Best
Buddies. She was a member of GCASD Project Peers and also served as a Student Ambassador.

Accomplishments

  • Amelia is the designer of the Debbie Cooper Memorial Statue. She designed this sculpture in 2016, following the passing of beloved educator and community member Debbie Cooper. This statue stands outside of Hillview Elementary as a beacon to young students to pursue a wild love for literature and a concentrated effort on upstanding character.
