  • Participate in “Together Tuesday” program that promotes community connections and supports English acquisition as volunteer English speaker in one-on-one and small group language activities that allow volunteers and Project Worthmore clients to share languages and stories.

  • Competitive team, 2014-2018. 1st place in age group, Level 3 Colorado State Championship 2015.
  • Founder and Co-President of Connections Club , GWHS (11-12). Founded club during pandemic to keep students connected with each other and the community. Planned and co-led club meetings on Zoom (11) and in-person (12) with 15 regular members. An example of community connection is reading to a local kindergarten class.
  • Organized fundraising team for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk 2021 . Recruited team members, created team event (since main event was virtual) at a local park, organized all logistics, oversaw and participated in event. Team raised over $350.
  • Competitive Speech and Debate- Partner policy (CX) debate, Novice and Varsity (9); informational speaking (10); duo comedic interpretation (10). Judge, Novice tournaments. Team was ranked 6th in the nation.
  • Denver Club of Humanities (9-12). Supported food drive for GWHS pantry. Sponsored neighborhood food drive.
  • Denver Cleans Club (11). Participated in multiple park and neighborhood trash pick up events.

Accomplishments

    National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) (Summer 2023)

    Completed 30 day backpacking and leadership expedition in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. Learned group leadership, orienteering, first-aid, cooking, wilderness and survival skills. Collaborated with 11 others while experiencing harsh conditions and adversity; learned how to work independently and as part of a team in high stress situations.
