This office is different and I respect it as everyone has their own ways of doing things...

They had me shadowing for the most part. Seeing how each procedure is performed and what tools etc are needed for the procedures, Fillings, prepping tooth and doing the temp crown, delivering the crown, extractions, composites..

• I stayed in sterile for the first half of the first day.. I would come out to watch other dental assistants to see how they did things when I didn’t have anything in the sterile room. Using proper PPE when necessary.
• By the second day, I was still in sterile but now I was setting up the rooms for the patients coming in and laid out tools necessary. Flipping rooms afterwards, Using proper barriers after cleaning and sanitizing.
• By the fifth day, they had me do sterile still and setting up the rooms and braking them down.. but now they were letting me sit the patients down and take their blood pressure and required info needed.
• They are now letting me take new patients, get their pano, information from them as a new patient, get their blood pressure and get them ready for the doctor.

I feel like this office wanted to see how well you do from the ground up ,so to speak.

• Supported the scheduling of appointments, enhancing clinic workflow efficiency.
