Summary

An intuitive, proactive and motivated Learners Affairs Researcher, exhibiting a degree in MBA Human Resources Management. Offers a dynamic, resourceful and efficient work ethic with skills in leadership, workforce planning and performance monitoring. After performing the role of Learners Affairs Researcher since 2014, I have worked hard to gain the transferable skills required to work successfully within a human resources position. TRANSFERABLE SKILLS Team Work And Collaboration Throughout university and my previous roles, teamwork and collaboration have been a fundamental part of what I do. All previous roles have required me to either work within a team or independently with cadets and colleagues to ensure that the best possible service is delivered. I have always taken time to understand my colleagues, clients and the business so that all business and customer needs are met. This is important within a human resources environment, because without that understanding, you are unable to support and work together to meet a common goal. Performance Management Managing my performance is something that I have focused on since starting my career after completing my degree. Having the sole responsibility of my success has made me continuously look at performance and strive to keep improving on this to achieve my Bachelor’s degree and the success in my career so far . This is a unique attribute that I can bring to any human resources role, as I know how essential performance management is and I understand the implications if performance drops and tasks are not completed to the best of my ability. This can also have a negative impact quite quickly on a business and its customers if tasks fall behind. Scheduling Working towards deadlines is essential in any role. Specifically, my experience as a Human Resources Officer has provided me with a real understanding of how important timekeeping and adhering to a schedule is. Because of this, scheduling has become second nature to me. I am a very organized individual and scheduling not only allows me to stay on track and hold myself accountable, but also enables me to demonstrate to other individuals what I need from them to complete tasks on time and to a high standard. Customer Relations Throughout all of my roles I have built relationships both internally and externally to the business. As a Cadets Supervisor I engaged in face-to-face communication with Cadets regularly when catering to their needs. This has enabled me to build confidence in dealing with difficult situations and adapting my style of communication based on what the situation is.
