Projects

UCF (University of Central Florida) Senior Design: Return to Launch Site, August 2024-April 2025

Collaborating with 4 students to design and implement a recovery apparatus capable of manual and/or automatic control for rocket deployment after reaching 2200 feet apogee, and land at a specified landing zone.

  • Integrated experimental glider parachute landing system into high-powered rocketry.
  • Developed and tested an electronics bay that houses our avionic systems for reading pressure and temperature to determine altitude as well as serving as a redundancy for main ejection deployment.
  • Created system requirements for our potential users and customers by defining primary critical functions as well as identifying mathematical models that can be used to predict system performance.

UCF (University of Central Florida) IDEAS Showcase, University of Central Florida, August 2022-December 2022

Collaborated with 3 students in analyzing the structural integrity of aircraft landing gear for commercial purposes.

  • Developed a physical model of a singular Cessna 172 fixed landing gear where theoretical and analytical calculations were conducted.
  • Conducted a static structural analysis of our rudimentary model of landing gear using ANSYS.
