New orleans East 

• Completed 4 weeks of training in family medicine, gaining hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Conducted patient interviews and physical exams, developed treatment plans, and provided patient education on managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, HTN, HLD, heart failure, etc.
• · Completed annual examinations including health screenings, immunizations, and physical exams to promote wellness and disease prevention.
• Gained hands-on experience with diagnostic procedures, patient documentation, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Inpatient-Kenner 

• Performed pelvic and breast exams, obtained swabs for STI testing, and completed workup for pregnancy confirmation.
• Assisted in hysterectomy, Sacrocolpopexy and colposcopy procedures. Assisted with cystometric testing and pessary fittings.
• First assist in one vaginal and four cesarean deliveries. Obtained fetal heart rates and provided screening and vaccination information during routine prenatal visits.

• Assisted in diagnosing and treating common pediatric conditions such as asthma, upper respiratory infections, allergies, and developmental disorders.

• Provided care givers with information on milestones, vaccinations and anticipatory guidance.
• Participate in pediatric emergency care, including triage, stabilization, and management of acute illnesses or injuries.

Riverplace Behavioral Health Hospital 

• Assisted in the diagnosis treatment process of various of behavioral health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, borderline, schizophrenia and substance use disorders.
• Conducted various patient screenings by utilizing MMSE, PHQ-9, MDQ and BCASS.
• Attended patient rounds with physician assistants, physicians and nurse practitioners and nurses.

Plastic Surgery Elective

• Conducted initial patient evaluations by obtaining past medical history and physical exams.
• Discussed treatment options and projected surgery dates.
• Educated patients on procedures, risks, and postoperative care.
• Assisted in surgical procedures such as panniculectomies, mastectomies, reduction mammoplasties and liposuction, witnessed Mohs surgery, and removed drains at follow up appointments.
