Problem: Absence of end to end network hardware inventory management strategy that provides visibility and resource efficiency. No processes, 7 storage locations, lack of order control, manual efforts were the root cause of this problems.

Solution:

• Setup end to end IT Asset management program right from Procurement, storage, configuration, shipping, return, disposition of device using QDM methodology.
• Setup communication channel with leadership and various teams to provide critical update and an issue tracker to resolve issues with SLA.
• Automated manual processes at every junction from procurement till disposition to improve speed, avoid manual errors, and maintain end to end visibility of devices.
• Planned and implemented business intelligence solutions and tools to gather inputs on Forecasts, Safety stocks, prices, resource utilization, and report them via dashboard to help find problems and making decisions.
• Utilities and tools development and automation for syncing various in house tools, automate manual processes at every junction from procurement till disposition to generate better reports to speedup the process.
• Setup reliable communication channel and issue tracker between Engineers, workbench technician to ensure faster resolution of configuration issues.
• ISO standardized document creation on process flows.

• Ensure end to end visibility, audit compliant processes, and inventory management of over 20000 large networking equipment and thousands of small equipment.
• Increased cost saving from $484K to $2M+

Led development of one stop solution NIM tool to capture forecast and displaying other reports

Problem: 20+ users forecasting their inventory requirements in excel and email was hard to keep up with. For checking inventory levels, shipping status etc on emails caused email spamming with 10 MB worth reports every day. This caused many backorders other management issues.

Solution:

• Created a centralized database system and import daily reporting emails and other reporting servers to this Database.
• Created utilities like LCM validation, Nexus cleansing tool to automate sync in-house tools to get more accurate data and to ensure audit proof system system.
• Created Forecasting model to fetch data, safety stocking models and administered their implementation in One stop solution NIM tool.
• Created easy to search and navigate inventory and shipping reporting models and get it implemented on NIM tool
• Created a receiving model which can be used by storage managers once they receive devices from vendors.
• Developed system using Power query and Power BI to report devices which are not returned to storage once removed from the field.

• 20+ users can feed their forecast directly into database at once and 80+ users have benefited from reporting displayed on NIM tool.

Duties and job role:

· Running reports that display specific details about hardware configurations in client premises.

· Creating and running queries against devices which have specific application files. Migrating Client’s Desktop Environment from Windows XP to Windows 7.

· Creating Lab servers for purpose of training and carrying out the whole process of desktop Migration services.

· Applications compatibility testing using Change Base AOK.
