  • Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks, such as running specialised network monitoring and system protection, to ensure technology is running effectively

  • Support the co-ordination of new application implementation in order to provide WFP staff with the tools they need to perform effectively
  • Draft standard material such as end-user and technical documentation to ensure staff have access to required information about IT services and products
  • Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT division in order to support the continuous improvement of IT services provided
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment, to ensure optimal services in compliance with standard operations procedures

  • Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met
  • Provide top security and protection to all devices in the ETC network to make sure the network is running safety and accuracy in safe environment
  • Making sure the meeting rooms are always technically prepared and make full support for UN staff meeting and conference call they have at UNCAF

  • Checking up daily the equipment in the server room and make sure that all devices is running functionally
  • Daily checking up and monitor the PBAX P2P link and MPLS between WFP/UNCAF to avoid any case of interruption and ensure it is running convenient
  • Daily testing the bandwidth of the internet speed, in addition test the link speed between the routers and the ETC switches to make sure all the links are running in a suitable speed
  • Perform routine deployments of server hardware and software, including testing and the identification of problems, to contribute to the effective functioning of technology
  • Making full backup configuration for the hole network and devices (Mikrotik router, Management Switches and Wireless devices) according to schedule
  • Tracking and tracing for the switches links between building to make sure the links speed is running without any delay
  • Manage and maintain the network, MPLS connection, and intranet connectivity through the local service provider
  • Perform performance review, bandwidth monitoring and management of the connectivity with all sites
