Conduct Social History Assessments for inmates that are processed through the Receiving and Classification Center. An interview is conducted to gather information regarding history of drug use and assess mental health status. Additionally, a review of court documents, Pre-Sentence Investigation (PSI) and institutional records is completed. This information is compiled into a comprehensive report to recommend mental health and rehabilitative programming needs.
Conduct mental health rounds in the Restrictive Housing Unit (RHU) to assess mental health needs for inmates in a single cell and to communicate other needs to appropriate staff.
Conduct IQ tests and reading assessments on inmates to assess for any special accommodations needed while incarcerated.
Conducted investigations to determine security clearances for government employees. To include interviewing the subject of the investigation as well as co-workers, supervisors, neighbors and friends to asses trustworthiness, loyalty and responsibility.
Also communicated with various law enforcement agencies to determine history of criminal activity.
This information was compiled into a comprehensive report to be submitted to the requesting agency for determination of level of governmental security clearance.
This position required a Top Secret security clearance, the ability to work independently and required overnight travel.
