Through a grant from Humboldt County Office of Education, I joined the TK coaching team and immediately began coaching. I coach in a student based format. I give guidance and advice throughout a 16 hour time period to current TK teachers by creating a plan, observing the teacher, coming up with a coaching plan with the teacher, and helping to implement that plan into the teachers classroom.

I am working with a group of administrators, educators, early childhood specialists, home daycare providers, head-start program leaders etc. to create a plan through the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Mixed Delivery Grant program that bridges that gap between preschool/family home daycares and public school transitional kindergarten.

• During these two years, I was a substitute teacher at many different schools and many different grade levels in Humboldt County.
• Maintained day-to-day classroom management and discipline to promote learning initiatives.
