Responsible for preparing 8-10 patients per shift for their upcoming surgical procedure. This includes performing a general physical assessment, verification of patient's medical history and medications, vital signs, IV insertion, surgical site preparation, and administration of the required preoperative medications. Providing emotional support and education to the patient and family.

Responsible for providing care to 2 critical care medical or surgical patients simultaneously per shift. Caring mostly for mechanically ventilated and sedated patients. Experienced with administering life-saving medication drip titration and therapies under strict protocols. Monitored and quickly accessed patient condition for changes and reactions. Telemetry experience. Provided communication to physicians, therapists, and other support staff to obtain swift treatment.

Responsible for the care of patients during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of ophthalmic procedures. Provision of IV and oral sedation with monitoring. Maintained a safe and sterile environment while in the operating room. Educated patients and their families preoperatively and postoperatively.

Responsible mainly for care of up to 6 pediatric patients, ages newborn to 18 years old, simultaneously per shift. Also, cared for geriatric overflow and cystic fibrosis patients of all ages. Conducted thorough physical assessments to identify potential health concerns. Educated family members and caregivers with patient care instructions, as many parents would stay in the hospital with their child, and assisted with the in-patient care. Provided IV and oral administration of medications, including antibiotics and respiratory treatments.
