Providing emotional support and education to the patient and family.
Responsible for providing care to 2 critical care medical or surgical patients simultaneously per shift. Caring mostly for mechanically ventilated and sedated patients. Experienced with administering life-saving medication drip titration and therapies under strict protocols. Monitored and quickly accessed patient condition for changes and reactions. Telemetry experience. Provided communication to physicians, therapists, and other support staff to obtain swift treatment.
Responsible for the care of patients during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of ophthalmic procedures. Provision of IV and oral sedation with monitoring.
