I have worked for UMROI more than 28 years. 24 of those years have been as a remote coder in the Houston, Tx area.

• I have my RHIT.
• I code outpatient surgeries, procedures, and clinics.
• I also work with in several WorkQueues to keep the outpatient accounts coded timely and correctly.
• Prior to moving:
• I coded Rehab and Inpatient charts along with Outpatient .
• I filed loose work, pulled charts, ran reports, organized and analyzed charts, separated transcription, ,etc.

• I coded ER and outpatient accounts.
• I worked 10-15 hours a week.

• Coded outpatient, ER, and concurrent accounts.
• Twice a week I attended Managed Care Meetings to keep the DRG status of the patients up to date.
• Help the HIM department when needed such as: run charts to the floors, file charts, answer phones, reanalyze charts, file loose lab, etc.

• ER and Clinic coder
• Shift Coordinator for both evening and night shifts in the File Room. (Before moving to the Coding Department)
• Ran Charts, filed loose work, checked deficiencies , and worked in the Doctor's workroom.
