Created a safe and effective learning environment and positive classroom culture with a diverse and constantly changing population of at-risk students from 6th-12th grade. Facilitated student learning for all electives throughout their disciplinary placement and removal from their home campus by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication with their classroom teachers. Identified student deficits that impacted their ability to be successful in a mainstream classroom, and provided this information to their teachers, counselors, and administrators to help create a plan for student success upon return. Monitored student performance after leaving DAEP through grade checks and continued contact with students and their classroom teachers.
