I like to be on my feet as much as I can whether it's cleaning, planning, or talking to customers in my past jobs. I played competitive softball for 10 years working every day and weekend to get better at my sport, which taught me how to work hard. I received comeback player of the year as well as courage player of the year for mecklenburg county highschools. I continue to use my hardwork and resilience I’ve learned over the years to accomplish goals even when set back.
I have experience with children and adults and know how to meet the needs of both because I coached little league softball for 2 years. I was the head coach which gave me responsibilities of planning practice, making lineups, communication with parents, and making the overall experience for the young girls amazing. I also have experience with people with intellectual disabilities both children and adults. Throughout grade school I was involved in Best Buddies for 7 years; which is a one on one match friendship with a student with an intellectual disability. Once in college I volunteered many times with the Special olympics basketball program and a home farm for adults with intellectual disabilities to live.
I am a born leader but I also appreciate feedback and am very coachable when it comes to any tasks or assignments. I work very well with others and think collaboration within a workplace is key to solving problems. Having a positive work environment is very important to me and being able to feel comfortable around your peers. I think inclusion is so important, and I always make sure everyone feels included which brings so much joy to a workplace.
