Key Achievements:

• Halliburton E&P SaaS Solution: Solution design collaboration with AWS consulting resulting in an automated, subscription-based Cloud SaaS offering to external customers providing an HPC solution for Geophysical data-modeling with monthly subscription billing of 1M in 2018. Solution uses SoftNAS for high-performance storage backed by AWS EBS volumes with HA/DR functionality. Also assisted with deploying solution to Azure. Credited with improving overall application performance by 40% via Azure accelerated networking, virtual network redesign, and faster authentication times using OKTA universal directory.
• Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Cloud BioInformatics: Collaborated with customer to design a solution that ingests data generated by genomic sequencers and scientific microscopes into SoftNAS virtual NAS appliances in AWS. Data processing leverages on-demand HPC clusters and replicates formatted data to various AWS regions to be accessed by scientists globally. Ability to provision on-demand HPC storage and processing reduces reliance on capital on-prem equipment and provides an estimated 60% savings annually.

Engage public and private sector customers throughout entire sales and delivery cycle for enterprise software, consulting, and public cloud assumption of billing deals with average MRR revenue opportunity > 30K.

Key Achievements:

• Authored proposal resulting in win of Texas Department of Public Safety AWS Storage contract valued at 250K annually. Co-designed digital evidence management solution with AWS consulting following CJIS compliance regulations
• Authored proposal resulting in win of Pennsylvania Turnpike Authority contract to migrate BI reporting services to AWS valued at 160K annually. First Cloud deployment of virtual firewalls by any Pennsylvania government agency
• Migrated Edwards Aquifer Authority website from Rackspace to AWS to provide on-demand horizontal scaling using during 2016 US Presidential Election to support a 1000% spike in hits. Achieved via auto-scaling groups, ELB, and Cloudformation services.
• Onboarded DoubleHorn into Microsoft CSP reseller program and AWS GovCloud reseller program

Project Manager & Solutions Architect with full responsibility for technical design, P&L, staffing, and delivery of banking technology projects for client base of 700+ banks and Federal credit unions in the United States. Required to demonstrate highest-level of technical competency in multiple disciplines while managing multiple projects concurrently in security-intensive environments. Maintained customer satisfaction rating of 4.9/5.0 in 2014 and 2015, the highest within business unit.

Standout Projects:

• On-premises lift & shift migration for Bank of San Francisco (completed March 2016). Migrate existing servers, services, and applications from on-premises “iron” to virtualized infrastructure at CSI’s private datacenter while upgrading outdated operating systems and consolidating RDBMS platforms in tandem. Migrate on-premises SQL instances and databases to Azure SQL. Coordinate core application, circuit and firewall migrations with software vendors and Federal agencies. Focus on improving UX while meeting Federal compliance requirements for banks.
• Public domain name change for a leading Northwest bank. Coordinate logistics with multiple core software vendors, Public DNS registrars, Public CA’s, and trusted partners to facilitate smooth cutover. Modify existing hybrid Office365/On-premises Exchange 2013 configuration and Lync 2013 configuration for new domain. Successful cutover occurred within a 12-hour window with no impact to business productivity.

Key project:

Project Manager – BoyarMiller infrastructure migration. BoyarMiller is one of Houston’s elite boutique law firms. Tasked with designing and implementing the transition from a traditional, internally managed IT organization to an MSP model. Migrate on-premises VM’s to CHR’s private cloud using SCCM. Implement successful BYOD program for attorneys. Project success resulted in my appointment as interim vCIO.

• Founded advertising and industrial design firm and developed business with a 200% annual growth rate with product offerings including HTML 5, mobile device management, website content design, 3D modeling, and video content distribution design

• Major clients include UTMB, Exxon, Rice University, Smoothie King, & Crystal Cruise Lines

• Project Manager, and Interim IT Director for numerous AMLAW law-firm clients throughout the US including Sidley Austin, Goodwin Procter, Shook Hardy & Bacon, Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, and King & Spalding
