Plans, organizes and directs the State Perinatal Program activities so that the program is provided clear guidance concerning expectations,program operations,and progress of projects are monitored so that the regionalization system of care is efficiently and effectively provided for women and infants along the perinatal continuum.
Participates in perinatal health activities at the regional, state, and national level to identify opportunities for strengthening the program and improving perinatal care services and to create partnerships with perinatal providers and stakeholders to initiate statewide activities to strengthen perinatal care
Supervises Perinatal Program employees in a manner that allows guidance,training,observation of employee performance, and accurate appraisals and conducts meetings with regional perinatal staff to provide direction for regional perinatal and maternal mortality activities.
Serves as the state FIMR Program director ensuring program implementation statewide; insuring maintenance of FIMR guidelines, and insuring development/publication of the annual FIMR reports.
