Provides leadership and guidance for laboratory operations in a hospital setting. Over 65% of laboratory services come from outreach. Oversight for 38+ employees and 3 draw stations. Services provided include Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Histology, Point of Care and Phlebotomy services. Maintains strong relationships inter-departmentally and with clients. Handles capital budget, new equipment purchasing, instrument validations, CAP & AABB Accreditation, inventory, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, productivity and ensuring quality laboratory services.

Performs laboratory oversight for phlebotomy and laboratory operations for McAuley and Norman Oncology Clinics. Served on planning committee for new Coletta Oncology building in OKC, from the construction phase through go-live and accreditation. Job duties include COLA Accreditation and successful inspections. Standardization efforts in laboratory process, procedure and instrumentation between hospital and clinic. Responsible for hiring staff, preparing budgets, equipment purchasing, validation and maintaining strong relationships with physicians to ensure quality services for the patients.

In lieu of lab manager duties in OKC, I served as interim lab director for Mercy NW Arkansas two days a week for 10 months. Oversight for 73+ employees, response for CAP inspection deficiencies-along with process improvement initiatives. Services included Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Point of Care, Histology, Phlebotomy and Coagulation.

McBride Norman Clinic. Additional job duties

include preparation for CLIA inspection at all

locations, implementation for standardization

between hospital and clinic laboratory and

satellite facilities. Additional duties include hiring

staff, preparing budgets, equipment purchasing

and validation, and maintaining strong

relationships with physicians to ensure quality

care for patients at McBride.

Started my laboratory career as a lab assistant for

2 years with Integris/DLO, then graduated from

MLT School in 2005. Worked as Medical

Laboratory Technologist at Integris Canadian

Valley for 5 years, before accepting a

laboratory supervisor position in 2009.

Graduated in 2012 from NSU with Bachelor’s

Degree in Medical Technology and opened three

laboratories for DLO between 2009-2012, Integris

Cancer Institute of Oklahoma, Lakeside Women's

Center and Integris Health- Edmond.

Those positions included creating standard

operating procedure manuals, preparing budgets,

purchasing lab equipment, validating instruments,

hiring, training and supervising all staff as well as

preparing and successfully completing

accreditation with CAP for all three facilities.

I've served as a liaison between upper

management, sales staff, and physicians

to ensure quality processes and outcomes.

Oversight for laboratories included Phlebotomy,

Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Point of Care,

Coagulation and Immunology. Perform daily

supervisor duties for two locations within

Oklahoma. Job duties include scheduling, hiring,

training new employee's, keeping up with QA

expectations, occasionally working the bench,

ordering, reviewing QC and peer data, training

and competency documents for staff, CAP/CLIA

preparation and inspections, cQA preparation

and inspections and maintaining relationships

with physicians/nurses to ensure excellent quality

of care.
