Judge - Assist with paperwork that needs processed during any hearings such as:

Criminal Dispositions -Processing dispositions in a timely, accurate manner for the defendant to sign at the time of his/her hearing.

Changing, adding, dismissing, withdrawing and any other changes that are agreed upon with the officer, public defender, Assistant District Attorney and the defendant. Changing bail in the system if an agreement is made with all parties involved.

Traffic Dispositions - Processing dispositions and either taking payment in full or setting up a payment arrangement with the defendant at the window.

Non - Traffic Dispositions - Processing dispositions in a timely manner and taking payment in full or setting up a payment arrangement with the defendant.

Juvenile Non Traffic -Set up appointment with the Juvenile and parents to meet with Judge to discuss any options for community service or refer the Juvenile to the YAP program.

On Call - Assist the Judge during his on - call period by coming into the office with him to ensure that paperwork is processed in a timely manner for morning arraignments.

Warrants- Assist with issuing and printing warrants for criminal felony cases in a quick and accurate manner for police agencies when in a high - priority status.

Extradition Cases- Work closely with Sheriff Departments and prisons to get inmates arraigned so inmate can return to inquiring state in a timely manner to face charges.

PFA Violations - Process PFA violations when the Judge receives overnight PFA violators and process proper paperwork to the correct agencies.

Civil/ Landlord Tenant - Process paperwork and send judgments to all parties in an efficient and timely manner. If litigants wish to wait we will process paperwork immediately and give all parties a copy at the window.

Office Duties - Process all criminal, traffic, non traffic and civil/ landlord tenant paperwork as it comes into the office daily. Answer phones in a friendly courteous manner. Help any customers that who come into the office and who may need assistance with questions with a positive, courteous and respectful attitude.

Respond to incoming email in an efficient and timely manner. Respond to fax's that come into the office in an accurate and timely manner.

Process mail in an efficient manner and record certified status in the computer system.

Accounting Functions - Prepare weekly reports along with printing the weekly Department of Revenue checks and any other checks that are awaiting printing, which could be to the police departments, constable bi - weekly checks, along with any refund and restitution checks.

Reports that go along with the weekly accounting functions

Monthly reports that consist of undisposed funds report, stale checks report and making sure that the reconciliation for the bank statement is complete by the 15th of the month.

When the office manager is out of the office I will assume the responsibilities and make sure all of her work is also kept up to date, along with time sensitive reports and checks that need to be processed.

Local and Pennsylvania State Police agencies - File citations, criminal complaints withdrawals and scheduling officers in a timely manner for up coming court hearings.

Processing subpoena request, and preparing warrants for criminal cases.

Attorney and Staff - Scheduling for attorney clients and continuance requests . Providing information to Attorney offices regarding clients they will be representing (such as any copies of paperwork).

Local and state prison staff - Before everything went virtual: I would prepare hearing notices and release of prisoner paperwork to provide to the prison staff for up coming hearings. Now that everything is virtual I will contact the prisons directly to schedule a zoom hearing for the incarcerated inmate.

Civil Filings - Help customers to determine if filing belongs in our jurisdiction or needs to be filed in a different office to therefor directing the client to the correct and proper filing court. If filing does belong to our court, I will process paperwork and take payment for filing.

Landlord/Tenant filing - Help clients establish if this is the property falls in our jurisdiction. Processing paperwork , take payment and scheduling a hearing and preparing paperwork in a timely manner to be served by the constable.

Assist customers - Pleading on or paying citations. Scheduling hearings for defendants who choose to exercise their right to have a hearing with the officer and the Judge.
