As a 5th/6th Grade Intervention Specialist, I worked closely with struggling readers who entered the school year significantly below grade level. Through a blended instructional approach using small-group intervention, interactive lessons, and individualized support, students developed stronger foundational reading and comprehension skills. One student submitted a heartfelt letter of gratitude recognizing the encouragement and personalized support he received throughout the year. I was honored to be nominated by the Ohio Valley districts and selected to receive the “Miracle Maker” Teaching Award for the 2011–2012 school year.
