In-depth knowledge of GetThere's functionality allowed me to transition into a Product Manager role supporting their airline accounts, including United Airlines. In my job, I worked with United and other airline customers to translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for our design and engineering teams. Monitoring those requirements through the engineering, design, and QA phase and ultimately the release of new functionality.
Hand selected to be part of a team to oversee the development, implementation, and support of a 2nd generation online booking tool in partnership with GetThere. Worked closely with the GetThere team to ensure necessary features would be available at roll-out. In addition, I trained Implementation Managers to configure the site for their travel customers.
Rolled out American Express Interactive (AXI), the first online corporate travel booking website launched in partnership with Microsoft. Worked closely with the travel manager and a test group for the initial rollout, defining standardized documentation to support the customer's transition to online bookings.
Worked closely with Travel Managers at multinational companies, such as McGraw Hill and Converse, to maintain the relationship and sell additional American Express products. On average, I managed 15 customers with annual airline sales of $40M and a yearly card volume of $100M.
