Work History

Registered Nurse

Banner Staffing Services
03.2014 - Current

With BSS I have worked in multiple roles. I was working in the ICU and Burn Units at NCMC when I transferred to BSS. I continued these roles until recently.

Since I had experience in the Burn Unit I also had the opportunity to work in In-Patient and Out-Patient Wound Care. I started working with wound care in 3/2014 and continue working in Out-Patient Wound care now.

In ICU I worked with trauma patients. When Trauma Services needed help with a position I was able to work with them from 6/2016 to 10/2017.

I have also been privileged to work in Out-Patient Infusion. I started working with them in 9/2017 and continue to work with them when they need extra help.

I started working in the PACU at McKee Medical Center in 10/2022. I continue working there now.

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit

North Colorado Medical Center
03.2012 - 03.2014

As an ICU nurse I handled ventilator support, feeding tubes, IV drips, and central lines. I got to assisted physicians with bedside procedures.

I tried to demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills while managing complex clinical situations involving multiple organ systems failures in critically ill patients. I attentively watch for patient complications by promptly identifying changes in condition and initiating appropriate interventions.

Working with patient families is one of my favorite parts of being a nurse. I try to increased family involvement in patient care by providing timely updates on their loved one''s progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have had.

In critical care I learned how to effectively manage stressors associated with working in an intensive care setting while maintaining composure under pressure.

Another favorite part of my job is caring for wounds such as surgical sites and pressure sores to prevent infection and promote healing. The most extensive wounds I encountered were patients in the burn unit.

Teaching Assistant

Amarillo College
08.2007 - 12.2011

While working at Amarillo College I had the privilege of mentoring students going through their critical care clinicals. I helped to teach critical care concepts, and to monitor students while they learned patient care.

Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit

Northwest Texas Hospital
05.2000 - 12.2011

At NWTH I grew up as a nurse. I had so many wonderful mentors that were willing to share their experience and knowledge. It was the regions trauma center, so I gained experience as a trauma nurse.

Registered Nurse

Northwest Surgical Hospital
06.2004 - 12.2005

I worked in the Endoscopy Suite of this Surgery Center. I was the circulatory nurse.

I helped anesthesia watch vital signs. I documented the collected specimens and transported them to the appropriate area to be run.

I verified all patients were safe during the procedure by looking for correct consents, looking at vital signs and labs, and making sure correct procedures were followed during the endoscopy.
