• Oversee, coordinate, and provide training for iReady diagnostic and instruction
• Research and recommend content area materials for school
• Model best teaching practices in classes
• Conduct Peer Observations as requested by administration
• Create remediation and enrichment units for teams after having analyzed data and grouped students according to need
• Support English language arts and special program teachers by administering or interpreting CORE Reading Assessments
• Attend weekly Professional Learning Team meetings for all content areas, providing support to create common assessments and differentiated lessons based on the standard course of study

As a thought leader within WCPSS I have:

• Mentored new IRT’s as asked by IRT or by middle school team
• Served as the Language Arts Department Chair, attended monthly county-level meetings, conducted school meetings, ordered supplies, supported instruction (2003-present)
• Written AIG enrichment units for ELA grades 6, 7, and 8 (2012-2016)
• Worked with ELA coordinating teacher to write Common Core aligned C-MAPP lessons (2011-2012)
• Written daily instructional guides for county’s eighth-grade language arts teachers (2008-2009)
• Written enrichment and remediation units for county’s sixth- and eighth-graders (2008)
• Revised county’s formative assessments (2008)
• Coordinated with other subject areas in order to ensure reading and writing skills were taught across the board; assisted in writing integrated curriculum for seventh- and eighth-grade language arts; planned units with social studies, science, and math teachers; planned and executed museum studies. (2002-2005)
