• Feed, water and move layer hens daily mobile chicken coop/tractor based on the amount of forage available in the coop
• Experience introducing new hens into the existing flock, cull any who are not healthy or producing eggs
• Source feed for them and the best quality and price
• Eggs are for my own use, and I am also developing a system to sell hatched chicks I have a goal of having a contract with an independent restaurant offering soy-free eggs
• I manage 3 batches of broiler chickens from October to January
• Some are processed for my own use, some are traded and some are sold
• I use what I earn to buy feed, supplies, equipment or more livestock. I do not consider myself an expert because there is always something to learn
