• Charge nurse - Assign appropriate staff to cases, manage daily surgical schedule including add-on cases, respond to trauma cases per facility policy.
• Communicate with healthcare team members to plan, implement and enhance treatment strategies utilizing SBAR.
• Use clinical expertise to advocate for patients under care and enact safe treatment strategies based on provider specific preferences.
• Position patients for surgical procedures using necessary equipment for safe positioning of supine, lithotomy, lateral, prone and sitting.
• Thoroughly document procedure happenings including medications administered, and nursing interventions
• Contribute to successful surgeries by maintaining a calm environment under pressure and responding quickly to any complications that arise.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs during surgery and allow for seamless performance of surgical tasks, by preparing for likely possible scenarios with necessary equipment, supplies and instruments.
• Use aseptic techniques to maintain sterile fields and actively monitor situations to prevent breaches in aseptic techniques.
• Assist in complex surgeries with effective multitasking.
• Calmly respond to emergent surgical cases timely and efficiently.
• Use critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.
• RN Scrub experience include: general surgery, Robotics, urology, ENT, gynecology, podiatry, and orthopedics

Prepared patients for surgery through

• Pre-op assessment
• Medication administration
• Lab attainment based on orders and assessment needs
• IV administration

Prepared patients for discharge to home

• Monitored vital signs and treat anomalies per discharge anesthesia instructions
• Educate patient and family on after-procedural-care instructions
• Collaborate with care team for an efficient and safe discharge
