Accomplishments

  • Advocates in Action (AiA): Development and implementation of 5-month pilot program funded with a grant from the Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities. The curriculum of Advocates in Action was developed to scaffold the skills and knowledge necessary for the cohort of advocates to participate in and sustain long-term policy change. The focus of the curriculum included: disability culture & history through the lens of systems change; intersectional approaches to disability justice, understanding broad systems change; campaign organizing/Grassroots organizing; organizational leadership.
